Save Image

Save Image lets you export your sketch as an image file for reports, emails, or any other place you need a static picture of the drawing.

Accessing Save Image

The Save Image option appears at the top of the save screen after saving a sketch.

  1. 1. Save your sketch.
Click the Save icon in the upper left of the sketch window. The sketch is saved immediately.
  2. 2. Click Save Image.
At the top of the save panel, click Save Image to export the current sketch view as an image.

Default Filename & Download

ApProsal generates a default filename for the image export, which you can override before saving to your computer.

Default Name

  • A suggested filename is automatically filled in.
  • Defaults are typically based on the sketch and/or project naming.
  • This keeps image exports consistently labeled.

Override Before Save

  1. Your browser’s save dialog will appear when exporting.
  2. You can change the filename if you prefer a different label.
  3. Select the destination folder, then confirm to download the image file.

The image export is a static snapshot of the sketch. It does not affect the editable sketch stored in ApProsal.

Common Uses for Saved Images

Saved images are convenient whenever you need a non-editable representation of your sketch.

  • Attach to reports or documents.
  • Embed in emails to share with clients or colleagues.
  • Store in external folders or systems for quick visual reference.
