Save PDF

Save PDF exports your sketch as a PDF document, ideal for archiving, sharing, or attaching to formal reports.

Accessing Save PDF

The Save PDF option appears at the top of the save screen after saving a sketch.

  1. 1. Save your sketch.
Click the Save icon in the upper left of the sketch window. The sketch is saved immediately.
  2. 2. Click Save PDF.
At the top of the save panel, click Save PDF to generate a PDF version of the sketch.

Default Filename & Download

ApProsal suggests a default filename for the PDF export, which you can change before saving.

Default Name

  • A default PDF filename is automatically provided.
  • Typically includes context from the sketch and/or project.
  • Helps keep exported PDFs consistent and identifiable.

Override Before Save

  1. When the browser’s save dialog appears, you can edit the filename.
  2. Select the folder where you want the PDF stored.
  3. Confirm to download the PDF file to your system.

The exported PDF is read-only. It does not replace or change the editable sketch inside ApProsal.
